In the lead up to Council Elections; UKIP receives tremendous support from the public at their street stall in Swindon town centre.

Martin Costello UKIP candidate for Eldene and Park South
Never in the field of politics have so many been betrayed by so few!
The tired Tory / Labour duopoly has failed to honour democracy by betraying the will of the people and Brexit setting a very dark chapter in our history. This is a prime opportunity to send a clear message to the political establishment that we have lost all faith and patience in their ability to represent us.
Westminster is full of self-serving career politicians and champagne socialists who live in a bubble and care only for themselves.
There is currently no real opposition in the council, hence why our town is in such rapid decline. Only the true Swindonians of UKIP will breath life back into Swindon and hold the stale establishment ‘s feet to the fire. “Enough is enough!”

Melanie Bailey UKIP Candidate for Dorcan and Covingham
I was born in Swindon and have lived here for almost all of my life. I attended Lethbridge and Commonweal schools whilst living in Old Town and currently live in Park North. I have been a UKIP member for two years. I work in the retail sector and enjoy meeting the public and engaging with them as part of my job. I feel very strongly that our town has a great future but needs to improve its social housing stock, as well as allowing development of more affordable homes. I am also in favour of reviving the town centre, attracting more business by charging realistic rents. Please consider voting for me, I would work hard to make a positive difference and would always listen to any of your concerns.

Mark Edes UKIP Candidate for Rodbourne Cheney
Mark Edes was born in Swindon and has lived all his life in the Wiltshire area. He works in a transport office. He is interested in astronomy and is a keen supporter of the Swindon football team. He is very concerned about the housing shortage and how this affects the young generation. He is a strong supporter of democracy and if elected he would want to help the working class, young people, homeless people and military veterans.

Ed Gerrard is the UKIP candidate for Haydon Wick
I have lived in the Haydon Wick area for 28 years. I am a retired electrical engineer, but busied myself by being a Parish Councillor for the last 6 years.  I honoured and privileged to be the UKIP candidate in the Haydon Wick ward in the forthcoming local elections. One of my main causes is senior  citizens welfare being funded from central government. Both Conservative and Labour politicians have recently shown that they cannot be trusted to implement their party manifestos, so now is the time to give up-and-coming political parties a chance to show what they are capable of. Please help by voting for me on the 2nd May in the local elections.

Adrian Costello UKIP Candidate Shaw
Young or old, rich or poor, I can honestly say from the heart that every individual matters to me. For this is the reason I am standing as a candidate and representing my local residents of Shaw. If elected as a councillor I will be working for you. I will do my utmost to raise your concerns and push for a solution.  Together we can make Swindon a better place to work, rest and play. Some concerns of residents are: - The diminishing mental health facilities and support despite Swindon’s growth and expansion plans. The closure of our children and youth centres across the town. Children need a good start in life and our youth need a support base.

Aubrey Attwater is the UKIP candidate for Gorse Hill and Pinehurst
I was born in1941and have had varied experiences, from being homeless and broke to getting the most rewarding job promoting upholstery fabrics and sundries. Along the way, many friendships were formed with people from different nations and religions and I really enjoy meeting and talking with everyone.
Big is no longer beautiful (or even fit for purpose) as large businesses and government have recently shown us. I believe decisions need to be made at the lowest possible level. This can only be achieved if people get involved and have their say, which is why I am standing as a candidate in these local elections.
If elected, my purpose will be to represent the residents of Gorse Hill to the very best of my ability and be available to hear of any concerns they may have.

Jason Costello is the UKIP candidate for Old Town
UKIP is a moderate party in the centre ground of British politics. We are disappointed that Brexit did not take place as promised at the end of March 2019. UKIP can now fairly claim to be the only party speaking up for the 17 million people who voted leave in the EU referendum three years ago way back in 2016. People should vote UKIP as we are the only party that wants to give Britain a genuine Brexit.

Steve Halden UKIP candidate for Walcot and Park North
Steve is retired and has lived in Swindon for 50 years. The housing crisis has hit the young generation hard. Nationally there is a shortage of 4 million houses.  He believes that house prices are far to high. The young cant afford to rent or buy. Britain must build more houses for the working class. The young generation are the flower of the nation and they have been betrayed by all the major political parties in Britain.  We need a much more patriotic approach to British industry and people should be encouraged to buy British made goods. Patriots want Britain to be a fully independent nation but our Westminster parliament have done all they can to keep us in the EU and stop us leaving.

Sheila Attwater UKIP candidate for Mannington and Western
“My name is Sheila Attwater and am now aged 77. I was born in London and after school worked for five years in a literary agency, before marrying my first husband, a Shropshire farmer. “I have two children, a son of 51 and a daughter of 47. “My second husband and I moved to Swindon six years ago and really enjoy the area and facilities. “I have had various part-time secretarial jobs and enjoy meeting new people. “If successful I would do my very best to represent those who elected me".

Andy Osborne Stratton St Margaret UKIP Candidate
Andy Osborne was born in London. He moved to Swindon four years ago and now works in Swindon. If you voted to Leave the EU your vote has been betrayed by Parliament. We are no longer living in a democracy. If you value our democracy vote UKIP. UKIP is the only party serious about delivering the Brexit we voted for in 2016.

Sue Day is the UKIP candidate for Eastcott
I am 68 years old and am a Swindonian born and bred. I have been a member of UKIP for 6 years, and  I currently hold the position of Treasurer for the Swindon Branch of the party.
I was born in Even Swindon. I have also lived in Penhill, Old Town, Kingshill and Central Swindon. I worked in financial services for over 20 years before retiring in 2010. I am proud of Swindon and my country.  I know that together we can work to make it great again.  If I am elected I guarantee to do my very best to represent you and your best interests.
